Every great novel has a central character about whom the entire plot revolves. Have you ever considered who is the main character of the Bible? How about Moses? King David? Abraham? Mary? Adam? Paul? Peter? Though each of these people played a role, the story of the Bible is about none of them. At best, they are supporting characters. In fact, the Bible is filled with thousands of supporting characters which only points to one reality: in the story of the Bible the main character is none other than God himself. It begins with him and it ends with him. He is the Creator and the Source of all things and as a result all things find their ultimate fulfillment in him. Since all things begin and end with God, then where does your life fit into the story? Is your life in harmony with the over-arching plot? Are you working with the main character? Or are you playing the part of the antagonist? To make your life revolve around any other plot is simply a waste of a life.
